Alaya Presents Ishvara's Spiritual Teachings

Cosmic Law

You are Life happening in this Now.  You were Life happening in previous nows, and you will be Life happening in future nows.

Life has always been.  Life will always be.  There is no beginning or end to Life.  There is simply the changing of the backdrop, the stage, the scenario, the scenes.  Those are constantly changing, as each now comes into view, into experience.

To recognize the starting point of this latest scenario is to go back some 16 billion years to a now, a moment, when a new expression began, the beginning of you.  You are a product of the earth, which is a product of the sun, which is a product of this galaxy, this universe -- a continuous chain of being, of present moments, of nows.

You are the stuff of this cosmos. You are the earth.  You are Life.  As you find resonance with this, you transcend the perceptions of the past, the beliefs, and the concepts.  You can honor those things as having served humanity as best they could in the past, with the limitations that surrounded them.

Your purpose is to express the unique manifestation of Life that you are.  That is your only purpose. That is the purpose of the universe.  The universe is expressing what it is through each manifestation, through all of its unique particles and parts.  Out of its wholeness emerge the parts, unique, diverse, and in that sense separate, yet always looking for and finding places of connection.  As you connect--as the body that you are--with the body that is the earth, with nature, you find that everything around you is in communion, in relationship.  Everything.  There is nothing that is outside of this arena.

Once you come to grips with this, once you become a creature of now, a creator of now, you recognize its web of Life, this continuity that has existed forever, patterns of uniqueness unfolding from unlimited possibilities.  Some possibilities become more clear and begin to come into being, others remain foggy and distant.  You recognize this process of ongoing evolution.

The real goal of Life, of the universe, is to know itself.  Your objective, as a human being, is to know yourself, to recognize who you are, to understand, through connection and evolving awareness, how you are to be.

Humans are in peril, living on a dangerous line, a precipice.  Humans live mostly with a concept of who they are, a belief. They carry a picture in the intellect: "This is what it is to be a human being."  As a result, error has systematically crept into the life-stream: data error, information error--those things that can have devastating consequences if not corrected.  It is something astronauts are completely aware of: any projectile has to be constantly held to course, or at some future now, it will wind up in a place it was not intended to be.  That is the danger humanity now faces.  Millions of years of evolution on this planet have developed a brain that is finally capable of looking at itself, implementing those things that are creative, those things that harmonize, that bring about a greater possibility, and also those things that are capable of the most terrible destruction and annihilation. It is the precipice of Life, the turning point.

Do you have the courage to become who you truly are?  Do you have the courage to embrace this knowledge that will spur transcendence, that will cause the brain to take a leap into even greater possibilities? To understand the nature of evolution is to understand Life and ultimately to understand you: the you who sits there, the you who listens with skepticism, with fear, or who listens with anticipation or hope.  How you listen is up to you.

The sun is the source of Life for this planet. This planet is part of the sun. Early in this planet's evolution, a way needed to be developed to make use of the radiance of the sun, of all the energy coming at the earth.  How was the earth to make use of it?  The earth, out of its substance, its molecules, its atoms, came upon chlorophyll.  Through chlorophyll, the earth was able to take the radiance of the sun and turn it into usable energy. That was the beginning of the life that you are.

You are made of rocks, dust, and particles.  All that ever was, all that ever existed, flows through your being continuously, not as a separate "you", but as Life.  We are told that the atoms which make up the human body, this molecular structure, are the same atoms that flowed through the past, through various individuals, so everything is connected.  Those individuals whom you worship, those whom you respect, their atoms are within you. They are a part of you.  Those individuals whom you detest, whom you fear, their atoms are also within you.

As you realize this linkage, you see that Life cannot exist without connection.  Connection brings forth awareness of possibilities. These possibilities have evolved over millions of years; this brain, this capability of connection, of awareness and transcendence, has been working to be able to house a greater awareness, a sensitivity to possibilities.

As sensitivity increases, you feel the conflict and chaos that are enveloping the world. There is no need to fear conflict.  Conflict can be turned into a mechanism that drives the brain to even greater awarenesses and possibilities.  The nature of chaos is creative. Evolution is spurred on by the problems that arise.

The human being has transcended many things. Unfortunately, in the process humanity has lost its connection with the web of Life. Now it is possible to destroy the planet, this segment of the web of Life. It is only possible because humans have lost touch. Humans have departed from the greatest possibility of all. Humans have forgotten. Humans have separated themselves out from the origin of Life, the web of Life, the connections, acting independently and selfishly to force nature into obedience, to force systems and structures to do the bidding of the most selfish, the most divisive, the most egotistical individuals, thus breaking cosmic law.

There is a cosmic law.  It embodies diversity, which is uniqueness. It embodies separation in the sense of the individuality of Life's unique parts. It involves subjectivity, which brings in sensitivities, awarenesses, the ability to connect. It embodies communion and connection, which establish patterns of wholeness and completeness.
